Long ago, in the 21st Century, the Ancient people of earth were at war. They destroyed eachother with atomic missles and virus bombs, wiping out nearly everyone on the globe. Those that were left knew they had to keep on the move to survive, so they built cities and towns on wheels. All the technology and knowledge of the Ancients was lost and the best form of transport became an airship.
Jump forward a few centuries and the Traction cities that eat Traction towns are running out of prey. They are making desperate attempts to survive, and the Anti-Traction League are making it no easier for them. Brutalities are taking place either side, and as more and more of the Ancient's Old Technology is dug up, the battles get bigger and bigger. It isn't long until an all out war takes place, and only one question is asked. What side will you be on?
The Traction Wars is an RPG based on the Hungry City Chronicles by Philip Reeves, and it is purposefully made so non-readers can enjoy it just as much as those who know what the book is about.
